From our founding in 2003, Tasheel has grown from a specialized operation into a multi-sector group with global reach. Our story is one of vision, resilience, and continuous evolution. Every milestone reflects our unwavering commitment to service excellence, innovation, and national impact. Today, we move forward with the same purpose that defined our beginning: to elevate experiences and enable progress across the Kingdom and beyond.
Where Our Journey Began
Our journey began in 2003 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with the establishment of Tasheel Modern Support Services Company (Tasheel Guest Services) and a clear mission to enhance service experiences across the Kingdom. That same year, we were awarded our first government contract by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to welcome and assist Umrah pilgrims arriving by air, sea, and land. Since then, we’ve proudly served over 52 million pilgrims in a span of 18+ years, earning the ACI Exceptional Passenger Experience Award – a testament to our unwavering commitment to trust, service, and purpose.
Laying the Foundations
In 2005, we received formal approval from the Ministry of Interior to act as the unified entity managing pilgrim reception and farewell services across Saudi Arabia. This milestone solidified our partnership with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, laying the groundwork for what would become a two-decade journey of serving the Guests of Allah with dedication and care. We learned early that excellence thrives through collaboration, a principle that continues to define how we work today.
Redefining Airport Hospitality
The year 2006 marked a major step into the Travel hospitality sector with the award to design, build, and operate the First-Class Lounge at King Abdul Aziz International Airport (North Terminal) in Jeddah. Our aim was to redefine pre-flight comfort, offering travelers a serene space to relax, work, and refresh. What started as a single lounge became the benchmark for airport hospitality in Saudi Arabia, reflecting our signature blend of Saudi warmth, quality, and fostering local talent, setting a new national standard for service excellence.
Visa Services & Technology Joins the Journey
We launched visa operations under Etimad with the opening of our first Visa Application Centers in Jeddah, Khobar, and Riyadh for the UK Mission, enabling G2C services across the Kingdom and beyond. This marked the start of our global expansion, with Etimad extending to Schengen, Australia, and Canada by 2009, and internationally to Bahrain and Tunisia by 2010. In 2007, we established Solex Plus, our technology arm focused on CX and BPO solutions. Through Solex, we have delivered over 12 million transactions, built a 70% female workforce, and partnered with leading organizations such as Roshn, Sadara, SABIC, Huawei, and Saudi Electricity Company.
Strength in Service and Scale
In 2011, we strengthened our travel services ecosystem with Vega and Vasco, two synergized ventures under Etimad, delivering visa concierge and premium travel services to global clients. By this year Tasheel Modern Support Services had expanded its lounge operations to 23 domestic airports, serving over 1.5 million travelers annually. Together, these initiatives reinforced our reputation for excellence across every touchpoint of the traveler’s journey.
Connecting Nations through Innovation and Service
In 2012, we partnered with VFS Global to build our joint venture VFS Tasheel, through which we expanded inbound visa operations starting from Egypt, growing rapidly to 36 countries. Etimad became a hallmark of Saudi efficiency and innovation, managing 90+ visa centers for 25 diplomatic missions and processing over 1.7 million inbound visas, connecting people, cultures, and governments with integrity and excellence.
Expanding Our Capabilities
In 2015, we expanded our operational scope with the establishment of Daem, our facility management company dedicated to providing comprehensive maintenance and facility management services. Starting with just 40 employees, Daem grew to over 300+ as of today. This milestone strengthened our presence in infrastructure and support services, building a solid foundation for reliable, large-scale operations we continue to deliver.
Travel F&B & Retail Ventures
Between 2017 and 2018, we strategically invested in travel F&B and retail, partnering with global operators to enhance passenger experiences across Saudi airports through Ahlan Modern Travelers Services and SSP Arabia, introducing premium retail and dining concepts. During the same period, we established Modern Baggage Company in Dubai and Dammam, a joint venture with Excess Baggage Global, providing comprehensive baggage services across international airports.
Innovation at the Core
In 2019, we pushed forward with our digital transformation journey. We acquired Spinebiz, a Singapore-based technology consultancy, to drive innovation and automation across our operations and beyond. We also invested in forward-thinking ventures like Kitopi (Cloud kitchen) and GuestReady (Property management), reflecting our belief that the future of service lies in smart, seamless, tech-powered experiences.
Investing in Global Events Infrastructure
In 2020, Tasheel Holding Group invested in Arena Events Group, a global leader in turnkey event infrastructure, positioning THG at the forefront of the Kingdom’s rapidly growing events and entertainment sector under Vision 2030. With 18 depots across 8 countries, Arena delivers world-class temporary structures and full event solutions, strengthening THG’s ability to support large-scale events in Saudi Arabia and beyond.
In the same year, THG also invested in Saee, a logistics solutions provider for e-commerce, marking the Group’s entry into the logistics sector and paving the way for future expansion.
Expanding Horizons
In 2021, we elevated Saudi hospitality to global standards through Miran, which delivered exceptional VIP guest management experiences at prestigious events such as Formula 1, the Red Sea Film Festival, and XP Conference. We also went beyond borders, setting foot in Paris with Modern Baggage Company, making easy bag wrap services accessible to travellers in the region.
Orchestrating Movement and Experience
2022 was a pivotal year for the group, as we, alongside IHC Global, successfully transitioned Arena Events Group to full private ownership, reflecting our confidence in its growing role within the Middle East’s events sector.
The same year we were awarded the Ask Me and Crowd Management projects at King Abdul Aziz International Airport, where over 300 trained team members supported smooth passenger flow and safety. In addition, we strengthened our logistics footprint by establishing Mustadam Kanoo Logistics with Kanoo Logistics and acquiring Naseem Cold Logistics, expanding our capabilities in temperature-controlled transport and warehousing.
New Ventures, New Voices
2023 reflected our continued expansion into creative and service-driven industries. We invested in Yellow Camel, a Saudi-based film and television production company that supports the Kingdom’s ambition to become a global hub for media and content creation. In parallel, we expanded into the events ecosystem through strategic investments in Hafla, an AI-driven platform that enables users to seamlessly plan and organize a wide variety of events. Together with our growing partnerships in media, events, and hospitality, these investments strengthened our presence across the broader creative and experience industries. It was also this year that we expanded Modern Baggage Company to Abu Dhabi.
Smart Innovation in Motion
In 2024, we continued innovating at the intersection of technology and everyday life. CarWishha, our automated car wash venture, opened in Jeddah offering touchless car cleaning in just 180 seconds. With this we expanded our footprint to four industry-leading branches, strengthening the Group’s nationwide reach. We also launched Modern Baggage Company at King Abdulaziz International Airport Terminal 1, introducing advanced luggage services to enhance passenger convenience. In the same year, we acquired a state-of-the-art movable kitchen rental unit under the brand K-Rental to meet the growing demand for premium solutions at giga events.
